Hayes Wood Quarry was connected underground to Freshford Quarry, the Stoke Hill Quarry and the Stoke Quarries.
The total area of this network of quarries is 493,000 sq. ft.
Little remains of the original entrance today as stone is now brought to the surface through the Stoke Hill Quarry entrance by the Bath Stone Group. See Stoke Hill Quarry
