Hollybush is a very small underground quarry of 6000 sq. ft. to the south of the Wadswick road just out of Neston owned by the Neston Estate, originally with one slope shaft and one air shaft or more likely a trial shaft. The slope shaft descends to a junction with passages running straight ahead and right, both leading to dead ends. The shaft has been capped and the slope shaft was used as a rubbish tip for some years
Interesting graffiti referring to the end of the Transvaal (Boer) War and the closing of the workings in December 1902
